Sisterhood Retreat

This past Saturday, Baylor Thetas held their annual sisterhood event.  This year, members started off with lunch from Jason's Deli in the chapter room.  After that, they were divided into "tribes" where they competed in various activities for points. The day finished with a ropes course and a final "tribal council"

Theta Dad's Day

Yesterday Theta held its annual Dad's Day.  The day was filled with lunch  in the chapter room and tickets to a baseball game.  A big thanks to Rachel Dieball for planning the event!

No Time to Siesta, It's a Theta Fiesta!

Yesterday was Baylor Theta's Fiesta Crush.  It was a great event full of fajitas, fun, and sun!

Denim Dash

This Wednesday, March 2nd, Baylor Thetas will be hosting Denim Dash, a trunk show featuring Plum Boutique, Stella &Dot, Charity Denim, and Rock Bottom Boutique.  Denim Dash will be 10am to 5pm located in the Theta room at the Stacy Riddle Forum.  All proceeds benefit our philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).  Come get dressed up for CASA!

Baylor Thetas going to Pigskin!

Last night the results were announced, and Baylor Thetas earned an invitation to Pigskin 2011. 

Our act, A Golden Afternoon, also received the People's Choice Award for Best Backdrop.

Congratulations to all the participants and a HUGE thank you to our wonderful sing chairs Caroline Dernick, Bekah Williams, Amanda Riordan, and Amelia Garrett.  

Baylor Thetas Spotted on the News

Baylor Thetas participated in a service event this past Saturday where members made sandwiches and assembled boxed lunches. These lunches were distributed to volunteers on MLK, Jr. Day of Service. A local news station was there to record the action and featured Thetas volunteering on their 10pm broadcast.  Good job spreading the Theta Love, girls! 

Baylor Thetas Featured in National Magazine

Baylor Thetas Sarah Nalbone and Ali Presnal were featured in the latest issue of the Kappa Alpha Theta magazine.  They attended a book signing of fellow Theta, Laura Bush in Waco, TX.   Way to support a Theta sister!

National All-American Miss

Shannon Smith was not only our Junior Panhellenic Delegate in 2010, but will be our Vice President Administration for 2011!  She is one of the most helpful officers, and also won National All-American Miss this past year!  Way to represent Miss Shannon!  We love you!!

Ashley's Bridal Shower

Looks like Plano Senior Ashley Carreker had fun at her Bridal Shower with some of her Theta sisters!  5 Ring Passing Ceremonies in 2010 so far!  Turns out our PIGSKIN Act "Ring By Spring" wasn't a joke after all!! Who will be the next lucky lady???

Blankets for Hillcrest!

Molly Hammond, 2010 Service Chair, organized a fleece blanket drive where members would make blankets to donate to children in the hospital!  How fun and rewarding! 

Bright Kite Formal

Devin Etzold wowed us again with an amazing Formal held at the Roosevelt Ballroom!  Carinos Catering, an Ice Cream Bar, and great music made it a night to remember!

Fall Parties

Thanks Recruitment Team for a great Fall Parties!  The songs were so precious (Shoutout Ally Roberts and Rachel Buehler) and all the Thetas had so much fun!

Theta wants to thank our recruitment team - Meredith Baker, Laura Edwards, Alyssa Nabarrette, and Eden Davis for all their hard work this semester!  We're all so excited about Fall Parties!!!

CASA 5K, Theta's National Day of Service, and Steppin' Out

Looks like Theta had a blast volunteering at the Annual CASA 5K Fun Run and Spooktacular!  Way to dress up and have fun playing with kids and cheering on the runners!  Congrats to the 5 girls that ran the race! 



Girls on a Mission

Over this year's Fall Break, Tiffany Lambert organized a Mission Trip to Mexico with friends to build homes for families in need!  We're so excited you are next year's service chair; you're going to be fabulous!!



Baylor Homecoming 2010

What an awesome time of year to be a Theta!  Homecoming Week was a huge success with Theta's act Ring By Spring in PIGSKIN Revue, the KAO/SAE Class A Float, and of course the annual Theta Alum Breakfast at the Fort House!

Kara King does it again with another lovely Parent's event!  This time it was Mom's Day, and it was a wonderful little get together with the Thetas and their Mommies for food and shopping in the Chapter room and crafts at Practically Pikasso!
